Edward Prescott, PE, joins KEA Group as Vice President
Edward Prescott, PE, joined Kennedy Engineering & Associates Group LLC, as Vice President in charge of Business Development for our Florida Operations. With over 37 years of planning, environmental, design, construction and funding oversight on Federal-Aid and State transportation projects, Mr. Prescott has experience in the preparation of final estimates, project schedules, design, and technical oversight of project teams and subconsultants, construction engineering inspections and facilities maintenance inspections.
Mr. Prescott formerly served as FDOT District 3 Secretary. As a senior manager for the FDOT District 3 Office in Chipley with responsibilities of the State Transportation program in the panhandle District of Florida, Mr. Prescott was one of the leaders that helped build the FDOT into one of the most progressive agencies in the nation. Mr. Prescott’s concern for quality is evident in the transportation system he helped develop in District 3.
Prior to serving as District Secretary, Mr. Prescott served as the State Highway Engineer for FDOT with an emphasis on quality control and timely project delivery and senior manager for the FDOT Central Offices of Design, Right-of-Way, Construction, Maintenance, Safety, ITS, and Motor Carrier Compliance in meeting the adopted work program.
As District 3 Director of Operations with FDOT Mr. Prescott was senior manager for the FDOT District Three Offices of Construction, Maintenance, and Traffic Operations charged with meeting the adopted work program. As a policy maker, industry liaison and innovator in construction, traffic safety and maintenance, Mr. Prescott was instrumental in the policy deployment for the Asset Management program’s at-risk management concept and the QC 2000 quality control program for Construction.
Edward has his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Auburn University, and has obtained his Professional Engineering licenses in Florida, Georgia, and Alabama.
